Kids Aid Tanzania supports projects which address the care,
education and health needs of impoverished, vulnerable or disabled children, together with the carers of these
children. Tanzania is
one of the poorest countries in the world. It has over 1,000,000 children who have been orphaned as a result
of the HIV/AIDS pandemic and many thousands who live on the streets. It suffers from the scourge
of malaria, a preventable disease which is the biggest killer of children under the age of 5 in sub-Saharan Africa.
The projects we fund are identified by Tanzanian NGOs and the Lions Club of Ilemela who are best able to
identify priorities of need. Funding is only provided after visiting the proposed project,
meeting the people concerned with its management and their agreeing to our required level of financial control.

We are wholly volunteer run and 100% of the money given by donors goes to meet the needs of Tanzanian
children. Our administration and travel costs are met wholly from trustee donations
and income from Gift Aid.
